TEM Symposium March 2014
In early March, the SFB/TR 103 organized a one day symposium on the application of high resolution characterization methods to superalloy single crystals. The evening before the meeting, Thursday March 6th, the participants had a get together in the Café Zentral in downtown Bochum. The symposium was held on Friday, March 7th. There was a focus on transmission electron microscopy, but there was also strong interest in results from atom probe tomography. Dislocation processes, irregularities at the γ/γ'-interfaces and the presence of small particles (γ-particles within γ'-cubes and γ'-particles in the γ-channels) were in the focus of interest and were discussed intensively. For the detailed programme see the enclosed flyer.
