9^th Interaction Week May 2017

The 9th interaction week of of SFB/TR 103 was again organized in the Bavarian Alps in Grainau. The Technical Academic Advisory Board (TAAB) participated in the meeting (Jonathan Cormier – ENSMA, France; Johannes Gabel – MTU Aeroengines, München; Roger Reed – University of Oxford, UK; Mike Mills – The Ohio State University, USA; Dr. Ralf Rettig – Thermocalc, Sweden; Georges Cailletaud – MinesTech, France; Cathie Rae – University of Cambridge, UK; Thomas Gartner – Lufhansa Technik, Hamburg). The meeting was held from 5th to 10th February. There was intense interaction and SFB/TR 103 scientists presented their work. All interaction weeks integrate a meeting of the board of the SFB/TR 103 and a members meeting. As a social event there was a winter hike which ended at a hut, where dinner was taken.
