SFB/TR103-Gradko 1229 Summer School 2013

From 24^th to 26^th of July 2013, Steffen Neumeier organized a joint summer school for our SFB/TR 103 and the Gradko 1229 (Bayreuth/Erlangen) at Schloss Weissenstein in Pommersfelden, Bavaria. The summer school was aimed at graduate and advanced undergraduate students. There were basic overview lectures which introduced into topics related to mechanical and microstructural properties of high temperature materials and advanced characterisation methods. Young scientists from SFB/TR103 and Gradko 1229 gave presentations on their research topics. In the afternoon of the first day of the summer school, all participants of the meeting hiked to the beer garden of the Bavarian Brauhaus am Kreuzberg for a social gathering. Furthermore, all participants from academia and industry enjoyed a barbecue dinner on the evening of the second day of the summer school.
