T4 Pressure assisted heat treatments of superalloys in HIP units with fast cooling rates

Project B4 was finished and transferred to project T4. This project performs integrated HIP heat treatments for cast, additive manufactured or coated Ni-base superalloys and investigates the influence of the parameters temperature, pressure, time and cooling rate on the microstructure and corresponding mechanical properties. In the frame of a transfer project, the company Quintus Technologies AB takes an active part in the scaling up of the HIP-technology with fast cooling to meet future large-scale industrial needs in the gas turbine industry.
